[NS 4] Someone’s in for an Explosion!

The few times that I’ve seen Garrett play, I’ve always enjoyed the style of his songwriting.  Intricate time signatures, harmonic dissonance, and haunting lyrics are often combined to create a unique, beautiful sound.  He’s also fantastic at finger-picking complicated patterns on his guitar while singing (something that, as a guitarist myself, I’ve always struggled with).  Joined by the phenomenal cellist Phil Norman and William Carpenter on bass, they make up ‘Someone’s in for an Explosion!’.  They blend flawlessly to present interesting and evocative soundscapes unlike anything I’ve ever heard before.

Garrett also organized these ‘Naropa Sessions’ and mixed the audio tracks, proving himself to truly be a man of many skills.  Enjoy these two tracks from Someone’s in for an Explosion!
